What Is Chlorella?

You might be wondering what is Chlorella, and why should you include it in your diet. Well, Chlorella, also known as Chlorella Pyrenoidosa, is a form of green algae that is highly nutritious. It has numerous health benefits.

It is single celled, and very small so that you would need a microscope to see it. However, it multiplies quickly, splitting into 4 cells every 24 hours or so. It is very easy to grow in controlled conditions for use in supplements. Many people use this chlorella superfood in order to combat various health problems or better yet, prevent health problems.

Just why is chlorella so good for you? Well, the chlorella ingredients include all sorts of vitamins and minerals, including beta carotene, riboflavin, thiamin, iron, niacin, vitamin C, vitamin B6, calcium, zinc, copper, iodine, magnesium, vitamin K, and vitamin E. This algae also contains a lot of amino acids and protein, as well as very high amounts of chlorophyll (which is what makes it look so green).

There is also something called CGF, or chlorella growth factor, present which is thought to be the reason for some of the health benefits that some people have noticed after they began using chlorella supplements. Basically, it is a very nutritious food that contains ingredients that are thought to be able to help with the treatment and prevention of various health problems.
